We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join our renowned healthcare team. Responsibilities:
As a CHT, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs that help patients improve their hand and upper limb functionality. You will work directly with patients who have conditions affecting the hands and upper extremity, including trauma, disease, and post-operative recovery.
Key Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patient condition and create personalized treatment plans.
2. Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve patient functionality and quality of life.
3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
4. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies for managing their condition at home.
5. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in hand therapy.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
2. A current certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT).
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in orthopedic or orthopaedic therapy, with a focus on hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.
4. A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in the state.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, families, and team members.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess patient conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
7. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
