Summary: Responsible for maintaining and updating HACCP Programs and food safety issues across multiple facilities, collaborating with the Technical Service and QA Managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily food safety procedures and HACCP program. Addressing food safety issues at various facilities. Ensuring product quality with suppliers. Understanding U.S.D.A. and FDA regulations. Maintaining food safety records. Completing daily pre-shipment sign-offs. Assisting with regulatory audits. Conducting allergen verification testing. Supporting environmental testing submissions. Conducting BRC internal audits. Assisting with mock recalls and temperature validations. Reviewing SOPs and allergen product lists. Maintaining foreign material logs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Indirectly supervises Food Safety and QA Department employees.
Qualifications
Must perform essential duties satisfactorily.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience; minimum two years in food service or meat science.
