Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
Provide facility maintenance support for 24-hour/7-day Print manufacturing operation. Perform repairs within facility and on facility equipment as directed. Perform safety/emergency responsibilities. Perform preventive maintenance responsibilities within the facilities and on assigned equipment and assist Facilities Tech 2 and other Maintenance Technicians with trouble shooting and repairs.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes equipment installations, scheduled/unscheduled repairs. Works with manuals, written and/or verbal instructions in carrying out job assignments. Maintains and repairs plumbing and electrical systems to building including replacing worn or defective parts such as plumbing components, batteries, light bulbs, and ballasts. Performs building maintenance activities such as janitorial service, lawn service, painting services, recycling/waste removal. Performs remodeling/building projects within the facility i.e., control booths, floor replacement/repairs (carpet/tile) etc. Performs and assists with HVAC repairs/rebuilds and routine maintenance such as changing filters, etc. Coordinates HVAC repairs with contractors as required. Performs concrete work such as drilling, mixing, and pouring and installs machinery foundations.
- Completes and documents specific preventative and predictive maintenance duties (cleaning, inspecting, replacing/adjusting, lubricating, measuring, etc.) on assigned equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited to HVAC, alarm, fire protection and environmental/safety.
- Team Responsibilities: Work closely with all departments to facilitate safety/emergency inspections, repairs and procedures. Records appropriate equipment information concerning equipment repairs and performance. o Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies, hanging banners, signs, fixtures, etc. Delivers and picks up needed materials, tools, supplies and parts as required. Assists other Technical Services team members on projects and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Other Degree : Machinist/Maintenance Certificate (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to organize work, people and materials.
- Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi-step procedures.
- Ability to work independently on nights and weekend as needed.
- Basic math skills.
- Flexibility to work a 12-hour rotating work schedule and overtime to complete required assignments.
- Good verbal communications skills. Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
- Must learn to operate a boom lift and become forklift certified.
- Service-oriented personality.
- Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED
Basic level competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must have knowledge of Internet software, Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software, and Order Processing.
Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $20.80-$24.80/hourly dependent on experience.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
• Informs leaders and other technicians of pertinent information and communicates to other departments as necessary.
• Communicates with equipment operators to determine problems with equipment before breakdown and to determine if equipment adjustments or repairs are necessary.
• Communicates with equipment vendors and various suppliers including technical local and international support.
