Schedule: Part time, hours vary by program needs and gymnastics meets, typically evenings and weekends

Pay: $15.00/hr

The YMCA IMV has a state of the art gymnastics center dedicated to fostering talent, building character, and promoting athletic excellence. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Gymnastics Team Head Coach to lead our competitive teams.

The Gymnastics Team Head Coach will be responsible for the overall management and development of our gymnastics programs. This includes coaching athletes, overseeing training schedules, managing coaching staff, and ensuring the implementation of safe and effective training practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics coaching, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to athlete development.

• Coaching and Training: Lead and conduct gymnastics training sessions for athletes of various skill levels, focusing on technique, strength, and flexibility.
• Program Development: Design and implement training programs and competitive strategies tailored to the needs of individual athletes and teams.
• Staff Management: Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and other staff members, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Gymnast Development: Monitor and evaluate gymnast performance, providing constructive feedback and personalized support to help them achieve their goals.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and gym policies to create a safe training environment.
• Administrative Duties: Manage scheduling, coordinate with parents and athletes, and handle any necessary paperwork or reporting.

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and adheres to our mission. Proven experience as a gymnastics coach, with a track record of success at various levels (club, collegiate, or elite). Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, training methodologies, and safety practices. Relevant coaching certifications and first aid training (e.g., USA Gymnastics certifications or equivalent). Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required. Passion for gymnastics and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all athletes. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate athletes and staff.
