Seeking USA Gymnastics Women's Team Coach (Developmental Program and Xcel Program) and USA Gymnastics Men's Team Coach.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Be knowledge of the sport and events you are teaching:
- Must know and follow EGA philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper USAG safety and professional certifications.
- Research and develop ideal training program for your athletes.
- Develop lesson plans and evaluate progress on daily basis,
- Create and maintain individual long term developmental plans and goals for each athletes.
- Establish and maintain set team member numbers:
- Find and recruit team member prospects from EGA recreational classes.
- Plan and conduct team tryouts.
- Manage and improve retention rates when possible.
- Develop and maintain positive and safe training environment.
- Keep your training facility and equipment clean and safe.
- Develop and maintain positive coach-athlete-parent relationship.
- Follow proper skills and drills progression in your training processes.
- Follow USAG and EGA safety guidelines in your training process.
- Communicate, cooperate and collaborate with:
- Athletes, their parents and Team Programs Director regarding any team related issues.
- Front Desk and Marketing Department in promoting EGA brand, programs and services (especially your own team program!).
- Facility Manager reporting any issues with equipment or training facility immediately.
- Recreational Program Coordinators conducting internal EGA training clinics for recreational instructors when necessary.
- Orchestrate Competitive Season with your team:
- Know and follow procedures set by meet hosts at the meets.
- Establish and maintain high individual and team results at meets.
- Provide constructive feedback about athletes performances to their parents after the meets.
- Participate in EGA special events, such as parades and in-club meets when needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be energetic, motivated, and have a positive attitude.
- Must be able to multi-task, think quickly, stay calm, and problem-solve.
- Must be able to prioritize and pay attention to detail.
- Must possess great people skills - friendly and able to create professional relationships.
- Knowledge of gymnastics, previous coaching experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to spot gymnastics during practice.
