WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Responsible for ensuring that guests have a clean, well-stocked, comfortable environment to spend their time during vacations or business travel. They supervise and ensure that the guestrooms are thoroughly cleaned according to specified standards, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
* Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
* Ability to perform Job Duties required of a Housekeeper
* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
* Verify room status on A.M. report; report discrepant rooms; prioritize and update status of check-out rooms
* Ensure that assigned staff has reported to work; document any late or absent team members
* Coordinate breaks for assigned staff
* Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities.
* Assign designated guest room keys and radios to assigned staff. Maintain accurate record of such and ensure security of keys and radios
* Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift
* Inspect rooms cleaned by assigned Room Attendants, using designated checklist. Directly contact Room Attendant and relay any deficiencies to be corrected
* Update room status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with departmental standards
* Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs
* Manage housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper
* Complete required Appraisals
* Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving\
* Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor
* Check P.M. reports for accuracy and completeness
* Inventory and stock Housekeeping supplies
* Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
* Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
* Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
* Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
* Availability during peak operating times, ie: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events
* Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
* Understand company's emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
* Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
* Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
* Contribute to team/company engagement efforts
* Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor
JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
* Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 75 pounds or more.
* Push/pull carts or equipment up to 250 pounds.
* Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
* Must be able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform job duties.
* Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 or more hours in length.
* Work environment -- Guest Rooms, Guest and Service Corridors, Vending Areas, Guest Laundry. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor settings, and around fumes and/or odor hazards, dust and/or mite hazards, biohazards and chemicals.

* Technical knowledgeable and competency in necessary systems and software:
-[Outlook, Word, Excel, accounting software, Roommaster, Seriousware, Visual One, Delphi, Meeting Matrix, etc.]
* 2 years demonstrated cleaning/housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* 2 years demonstrated supervisory experience
