Nuvance Health is a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practice locations including The Heart Center and non-acute care affiliates.

"FOOT-IN-THE-DOOR" OPPORTUNITY - PER DIEM/AS NEEDED POSITION

Summary:

Exemplify standards of hospitality and service to all customers. Greet and direct visitors and their families to their destinations and be a resource for information and guidance. Create a helpful, positive, first impression of Nuvance Health and maintain an appropriate environment. Always provide exceptional customer service with every interaction. 

Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests entering lobby with a sincere greeting, exhibiting proper guest relations skills, and a positive approachable attitude with every interaction.
• Monitor visiting hours and distribute computerized passes in accordance with Nuvance Health visitation policies.
• Adhere to all policies specific to visitor restrictions and patient confidentiality.
• Proactively assist guests and visitors with transportation needs, as appropriate.
• Take the initiative to maintain a safe an attractive environment within the facility and immediate property.
• Non-emergent overhead announcements, when requested.
• Establish and maintain efficient working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, and customers.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and six months customer service experience
• Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese, a plus
• Basic MS Outlook, Teams and data entry skills

Location: Northern Dutchess Hospital, 6511 Springbrook Avenue, Rhinebeck, NY

Work Type: Per Diem; 104 shifts per month

Work Shift: Variable 4-6 hr. shifts, 8am-8pm, weekends & holidays

Exempt: No

Grade: S2

Salary Range: 

$16 - $22 HR/DOE

Working Conditions:

• Significant manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity
• Little or no potential for occupational risk
• Sedentary/light effort, may exert up to 10 lbs. force
• Generally pleasant working conditions
