Nuvance Health is a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practice locations including The Heart Center and non-acute care affiliates.

PER DIEM/AS NEEDED - IDEAL FOR PEOPLE W/CUSTOMER SERVICE / GUEST SERVICES EXPERIENCE

Summary:

Exemplify standards of hospitality and service to all customers. Greet and direct visitors to their destinations and be a resource for information and guidance. Always provide exceptional customer service with every interaction. Ensure visitors sign in/out of visiting log. Clerical duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests entering lobby with a sincere greeting, exhibit proper guest relations skills, and a positive approachable attitude with every interaction.
• Take initiative to maintain a safe and attractive environment within the facility and immediate property.
• Notify security of any suspicious persons or behaviors, accidents, or circumstance that may cause damage or injury.
• Provide direction and/or assistance to those in the lobby to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
• Handle complaints promptly within the dept. Channel complaints or problems to appropriate staff.
• Provide concierge services to patients and visitors.
• Offer assistance with guest complaints/concerns by maintaining knowledge of resources and service recovery procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of system-wide services to assist guests in any way possible.
• Promote and contribute positively to intra-departmental and inter-departmental relationships.
• Maintain confidentiality of employees and departmental information without infractions.
• Promote a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to Nuvance Health policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Infection Control and Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures at all times.
• Reports all incidents, irregularities, unsafe conditions, equipment and/or unusual occurrences to supervisor immediately.
• Answer main phone line and appropriately transfer calls.

Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY

Work Type: Per Diem/Guaranteed 1 shift per month; opportunity to add shifts

Work Shift: Variable 4-8 hr. shifts M-F, 5am-8pm, may include weekends, 8am-8pm

Grade: S1

Salary Range: 

$16-18 HR/DOE

Working Conditions:

• Little or no manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity
• Little or no potential for occupational risk
• Sedentary/light effort, may exert up to 10 lb. force
• Generally pleasant working conditions
