Guest Services Representative - Charlestowne Hotels
Charleston, SC 29401
About the Job
Are you tired of the same old boring view at the front desk of a hotel or office? If so, you have come to the right place! Imagine being apart of a winning team, located in the heart of downtown Charleston, experiencing the beauty of what Charleston has to offer. Here at Elliott House Inn, we are not just another hotel, but we are a experience where just like our guests, our team members are able to soak in the beauty of the area while being immersed in the operation of this quaint 26 room beautiful hotel!
We know that in order to create an exceptional guest experience, we have to first take care of our team. At Elliott House Inn we value our hard working team members, some of which have been here for over 20 years! We make it a top priority to ensure everyone feels valued and appreciated through various forms of recognition. While we are not a part of a bigger hotel chain, we are managed by Charlestowne Hotels, which is headquartered 10 minutes down the road, giving you that added connection with the corporate team if interested in furthering your career. With this company comes the team member access to employee travel discounts at any of their hotels nationwide along with numerous opportunities for career development and advancement locally and nationally! The perks of not being a branded hotel include having the flexibility to listen to various ideas from our team and being able to implement them accordingly to ensure a smoother operation for the overall team member and guest experience.
As a member of our Guest Services team we are looking for an individual who is reliable, punctual, ambitious, self-motivated, resourceful, has strong communication and problem solving skills, a willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests, along with someone who can work independently while also being an integral part of the entire Elliott House Inn team. Yes, those are a lot of traits, but we value well-rounded team members that we can count on, just like The Rock, who you know is always going to be there to save the day at the end of his movie! And lastly, an added bonus that is unheard of at almost any other hotel is that we do not require you to stand for an entire 8 hour shift. We have a chair at our front desk and you get to sit down!
While we would love someone with front desk experience, we would be completely happy if we found the best person without experience that encompasses our values and positive vibes that we can train from scratch as well! So if any of this rambling is appealing to you and you want to be a member of our team, feel free to apply with your resume!
