Job Overview:
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Enterprise Systems Department department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team of innovators in driving advancements in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for software development teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps best practices and experience with GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other related technologies. This individual will play a key role in modernizing our software development processes and infrastructure to achieve greater automation, scalability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps best practices and experience with GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other related technologies. This individual will play a key role in modernizing our software development processes and infrastructure to achieve greater automation, scalability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand current processes and identify areas for CI/CD implementation and improvement.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple software projects.
- Automate deployment processes to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software updates.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance and scalability.
- Work with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technology advancements to continuously improve our CI/CD capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role
- Strong understanding of GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other relevant tools and technologies
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams, researchers, and faculty.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) a plus.
- 5 years of relevant working experience.
