About the Job
Drive profitable revenue growth by identifying and developing new business relationships within the GSA and federal government marketplace. Promote and market an array of relocation programs under the GSA schedule (corporate, government, commercial, and move management). Perform as a key driver within the organization to forge new business opportunities and grow current relationships within existing accounts. Responsible for the development and performance of all GSA and federal government new business sales and marketing activities and leads the achievement of profitability and growth. Establish plans and strategies to expand the existing client base and contribute to the development, program management and educational programs for prospects and staff. Manage the creation and update of sales & marketing materials for targeting key clients and work collaboratively with leadership stakeholders to establish and meet revenue and profitability goals.
Responsibilities:- Achievement of new business revenue goals.
- Champion the JK brand and product services as the established methodology for successful strategic implementation of service programs.
- Provide direction for marketing and business development initiatives, including campaigns, projects, benchmarks, communications, RFP/RFQ responses, proposals, presentations, and website marketing.
- Develop sales strategy and business plans: implements processes and executes techniques that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Initiates and coordinates action plans to penetrate new markets.
- Provide timely reporting of RFPs, prospecting activities, and pending outcomes.
- Use CRM to record and track all sales activity.
- Manage, orchestrate, and direct proposal presentations, oral/BAFO presentations, and client meetings.
- Control expenses for travel, presentation production, and marketing activities.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, business ethics, confidentiality, and non-compete provisions.
- Develop business partnerships with teaming prospects.
- Aggressively drive revenue growth through superior customer service and product knowledge.
- Proactively develop new customer contacts and builds long-lasting business relationships.
- Participate in networking activities to attract, partner, and cultivate new business prospects.
- Develop relationships with decision makers in the military/government/GSA marketplace to ensure advantage in bid opportunities.
- Maintain follow up on various on-line government bid board opportunities.
- Research various National companies for account/business/partnering opportunities.
- Review program providers and national competition for equitable providers.
- Work with sales teams to promote all brands (HHGs, Commercial Services, Move Management, and Corporate) and develop cross business opportunities.
- Explore opportunities for expanding sales, suggesting new product groups and value services not currently supplied by the company and/or on a current government contract.
- Meet regularly with sales teams through the Company to share information about opportunities and plan actions to effectively respond to and follow-up on leads.
- Create business development plan to identify new sales opportunities and drive incremental revenue through the GSA and federal government and private channels.
- Ensure compliance to federal, state, and government laws and requirements.
- Function as the primary point-of-contact with government decision makers.
- Create and process quotes for government agencies and private sector companies.
- A bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ specific experience with GSA and federal agency direct contracts, direct and/or National account sales.
- 10+ years of Business to Business (B to B) sales and business development within the GSA and federal government marketplace
- Strong history of quickly gaining credibility and partnership with key business decision makers.
- Transportation, relocation, or industry-specific expertise preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions and craft solution proposals.
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR purchasing regulations.
- Understanding of negotiated proposals for new government contracts and contract modifications.
- Excellent contract negotiation skills.
