About the Job
- 1 - 3 years of mechanical/electrical/chemical trades experience. Some lab experience is a plus.
- Experience with problem analysis and resolution
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
- Ability to recommend and implement improvements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software)
- ITAR compliance requirement: Individual must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
Education & Experience
- High school graduate. College level courses in math, physics, metrology, or chemistry are a plus.
Skills
- Must be prepared to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends as a part of normal work schedule.
- Must be technically inclined with good mechanical skills.
- Must be well organized, able to perform several tasks in parallel and work with minimum supervision.
- Must be capable to do data entry.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
- Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment

Responsible for the operation of the M.S.A oven, hot plates, Hi vacuum M.S.A., Lapping, Polishing, KOH etching, ultrasonic cleaners, and other related technological equipment. The operator logs process data into seed run data sheets and enters the data into the data base. The operator maintains order and cleanliness in the Seed preparation areas and participates in preventive maintenance programs. Operator supports the scale-up of Seed Preparation capabilities and contributes to continuous improvement efforts to keep pace with ever increasing production levels. Operator participates in Advanced Materials Environmental, Health and Safety activities.
