Fit Societe is the fitness brand of Rehab United Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy - a family-owned private practice specializing in outpatient physical therapy. Fit Societe offers group fitness classes as well as personal training at three of our eight clinic locations – Kearny Mesa, Carmel Valley and La Mesa. We are currently looking for upbeat, motivated, results-driven, rock-star Performance Coaches to join our team and help us provide exemplary service and support to our fitness members. Performance Coaches are instrumental in guiding our clients to improve their health through exercise. We collaborate closely with out Physical Therapists and wellness team to provide a well-rounded fitness experience. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify clients' fitness level and health
- Program and execute exercise routines
- Track clients' physical progress
- Modify exercise plans based on physical needs or limitations
- Apply our holistic training approach (E.g., Applied Functional Science, weightlifting, cardiovascular exercise, strength)
- Monitor use of fitness equipment to ensure they are being utilized correctly and safely
- Set up and tear down of the gym
- Field nutrition and health-related questions and refer to appropriate staff, when necessary
- Promote and sell fitness packages, memberships, subscriptions and products
Required Qualifications & Skills
- CPR Certification
- Degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science (or related field)
- Knowledge of diverse exercises and ability to adapt to client's needs
- Dynamic personality with an ability to motivate clients to reach their goals and potential
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience as a fitness trainer or similar role
- Fitness certification (NSCA, CSCS, NASM, AVE)
