JOB TITLE: Grounds Maintenance Team Member
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time and Part-Time, Non-exempt, Hourly
SHIFT: Evenings, Weekends

Our Grounds Maintenance Team Members provide all services related to the health of our land; Solid Waste Management, Recycling, Firewood Distribution, and Firepit Maintenance all while assisting with specific event set up needs. As a Grounds Team Member, you will also have opportunities to assist in other maintenance areas as time and skillset allow. Work shifts may include evenings and weekends, as we are a hotel property, and your flexibility is needed; These positions are either full or part time. In addition, this role spends a significant amount of time outdoors on our property.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as needed.
- Collection and proper disposal of solid waste and recycling throughout the property multiple times a day.
- Clean all solid waste receptacles on a daily basis.
- Receiving and distribution of Firewood for Firepits, stoves and fireplaces throughout property.
- Daily cleaning of firepits throughout property.
- Assisting with the transportation of firepits and other large items being distributed or received on property.
- Ensure grounds areas are clean and neat
- Provide general resort information for guests
- Interact with resort staff in a professional manner including maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude
- Communicate all major repairs around property to the appropriate business partner or supervisor
- Other responsibilities as needed.
Skills and Experience:
- Forklift Operation Experience – Certification Preferred
- Previous custodial or outdoor grounds and pool maintenance experience is strongly preferred. Having a " keen eye for detail" is needed.
- Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and experience operating large vehicles.
- Knowledge of Forklift Maintenance, Cardboard Bailers, Compactors and carts (electric and gas).
- Light landscape experience in professional setting
- Ability to go into a space with a critical eye with the willingness and knowledge to fix the imperfections.
- Self-motivated
- Follows written and verbal instructions well
- Works well independently as well as with a team
- Basic plumbing / irrigation knowledge is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted repetitively throughout the day
Education:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
