Position Title: Recreation Assistant 2, Hourly Pay: $16.55
- Season: March through October
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional weekend work as needed

- Limited Hours: Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period.
- Pension System: Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system.

As a Grounds Crew Member at Gillespie Golf Course, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of the course. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform golf course maintenance, including mowing tees, greens, and fairways.
- Maintain the driving range and rake or re-edge sand traps as needed.
- Operate landscape and golf equipment such as power tools, rakes, weed eaters, and blowers.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Adhere to all safety practices and ensure proper tool and equipment use.
- Engage in physically demanding tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and moderate lifting.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position allows up to 1,000 hours in a 52-week calendar year, with no guarantee of reaching the maximum hours.
This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
