Ground Software Engineer - Command & Control

Location: Hybrid (Denver)

Role Overview:

Develop and integrate software Command & Control (C2) solutions for satellite systems. Work directly with customer stakeholders to refine mission requirements and design solutions using existing products. A deep understanding of C2 concepts and protocols (CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, XTCE, MIB) is essential. Join a multidisciplinary team to simplify satellite operations and enable customers to manage satellites like servers.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficient in Python, C++, or Java
• Strong grasp of satellite communication protocols (CCSDS, CSP, CFDP) and data processing
• Familiarity with XTCE and MIB for command/telemetry
• Understanding of encryption algorithms (e.g., AES-256)
• Experience with RTOS and embedded software
• Knowledge of AWS (Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch) preferred
• Familiar with Git/GitHub; open-source experience is a plus

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development or systems engineering for satellite C2
• Active TS/SCI US Security Clearance
