Duties
Manage proposal efforts in the capacity of a lead and incorporate best practices to develop client-centric, visually appealing, and compliant sales documents. Proposals will be for projects that are delivered in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or similar contracting model. Responsible for all major proposal efforts which include, but is not limited to, reviewing RFPs to determine client requirements; preparation and assembly of proposals; developing strategy; writing, reviewing, and editing proposals; compiling proposals for submission; and determining resources required to complete major pursuits. Serve as an integral part of a proposal development team. Responsible for budget, schedule, and quality of assigned proposals. Ensure content and layout of proposals are consistent and meet brand standards. Collaborate with the client account manager, project director, and engineering to establish the proposal schedule. Following that, work with engineering, supply chain, subcontracts, project controls, construction staff and partners, and other staff as needed to develop the proposal. Actively implement proposal process improvements, incorporate lessons learned and cost reduction ideas, and analyze market intelligence of competitors. Coordinate and integrate reviews by legal, contracts, insurance, finance, treasury, and tax support groups for assigned proposals. Collaborate with the client account manager and project management to develop and implement the proposal win strategy. No hire/fire authority. Requirements
Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, plus 3 years of related experience in project execution or proposal development, or, alternatively, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, plus 5 years of related experience in project execution or proposal development. Must have experience with Microsoft Office, including One Note, Excel, Word, and PDF-writing software including Bluebeam, Adobe, or related. Must have experience working in an EPC and project management firm. Must have experience working with transmission, distribution, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or substation projects. Domestic travel may be required intermittently and may be up to 10% of professional’s time. Remote work permitted. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
