The Great Starts Infant & Early Childhood Master's Clinician
Job Summary
1. Provides evidence-based dyadic therapy to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Ensures services are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and family-focused.
- Maintains trauma-informed and supportive relationships with children enrolled in program and their caregivers.
- Maintains appropriate boundaries with clients, caregivers, and colleagues.
2. Completes assessments for mental health of children, formulates diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for children and their families using the DC: 0-5: Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood.
3. Runs psychoeducational groups with families, including parenting and other psychoeducational groups.
- Assist families in learning, developing, and using self-regulation strategies that improve emotion regulation and reduce trauma-related behaviors using trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate interventions.
4. Provides education and support to pregnant mothers through the completion of birth plans and providing resources related to childbirth, breastfeeding, safe sleep practices, and newborn development.
5. Maintains strong collaboration with partners on behalf of the children and families served.
6. Completes documentation of program activities in timely manner and in accordance with program and agency standards.
7. Ensures productivity target is met consistently.
8. Covers residential shifts and duties as needed.
9. Other duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION:
- Starting salary for this position is approximately $52,488/yr based on relevant experience and education.
QUALIFICATIONS - Great Starts Infant & Early Childhood Master's Clinician
Education/Knowledge:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required.
- Degree in clinical license-eligible pathway required.
- Training in trauma informed care and treatment interventions required.
- Training in co-occurring disorders, child psychopathology, child and parent attachment and bonding, cultural diversity, and child development preferred.
- Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement (IECMH-E) or seeking IECMH endorsement preferred.
- Clinical licensure preferred.
Experience:
- One-year experience providing trauma-treatment services to young children preferred.
- Experience with using the DC: 0-5: Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood preferred.
- Experience with Child-Parent Psychotherapy preferred.
Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent communication skills with colleagues and clients.

- Must be able to maintain a trauma-informed approach when serving families.
- Must maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and colleagues.
- Must be able to manage a flexible schedule and multiple tasks.
- Must be able to work within a team and find solution-focused responses to programmatic challenges.
- Must be able to cover residential shifts and holiday shifts as needed.
Physical:
- Must have an F endorsement and be able to drive for work-related duties.
- Must be able to provide coverage of residential shifts as needed.
- Must be able to work on a computer and within the electronic medical record.
