Zermount Inc. is seeking a GRC & ZT Master Scheduler / Project Coordinator with expert-level proficiency in managing multiple complex project schedules. This individual will play a critical role in supporting federal clients by integrating and managing GRC and Zero Trust (ZT) project across multiple workstreams and providing advanced scheduling expertise using management tools like Microsoft Project, Team, ServiceNow, SharePoint, etc. This position will directly contribute to achieving compliance with EO 14028 and OMB M-22-09. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to develop, strategize, report, visualize, update, and enhance all sections of a project schedule while ensuring seamless integration of business and technical aspects to deliver exceptional results in collaboration with the management team and other stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Coordination Expertise
- Integrate and manage multiple concurrent complex project schedules, ensuring alignment across workstreams.
- Maintain and enhance project schedules using Microsoft Project, including Agile methodologies like Sprints, Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives), and Iteration timelines.
- Develop visual reports, Gantt charts, burndown charts, and dashboards to communicate project progress effectively to technical and executive audiences.
- Identify, track, and manage interdependencies between projects, addressing risks and conflicts proactively.
- Ensure accuracy in scheduling, adherence to deadlines, and integration with resource allocation plans.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership to synchronize timelines and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Project Management Support
- Develop a comprehensive Schedule Management Plan that defines processes for creating, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules. This plan will include methodologies for identifying dependencies, tracking progress, managing schedule changes, and reporting updates. Ensure alignment with Agile practices (e.g., Sprints and Scrum ceremonies) and incorporate tools like Microsoft Project to provide real-time visibility into timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the plan is actionable and supports consistent delivery across multiple concurrent
- Collaborate with project managers to plan and manage GRC and Zero Trust IT projects in line with federal requirements.
- Define project phases, establish goals, and create integrated schedules from initiation to completion.
- Track deliverables, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to deadlines, standards, and cost targets.
- Supervise Agile project roadmaps, establish milestones, and implement metrics to track performance, including velocity and backlog progress.
- Coordinate with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables.
Quality Assurance and Reporting
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes in support of schedule management to ensure adherence to federal requirements and project standards.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive visual and written reports on project metrics, risks, and progress.
- Analyze project performance data to identify gaps and recommend process enhancements.
- Design customized dashboards and status reports to meet client and management needs.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Agile-Specific Scheduling Responsibilities
- Facilitate Sprint Planning to schedule and prioritize backlog items.
- Document blockers from Daily Standups and escalate to maintain schedule adherence.
- Align outcomes from Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives with scheduling adjustments and improvements.
- Support Product Owners in Backlog Grooming, ensuring alignment with schedule demands and milestones.
Cross-Team Synchronization and Stakeholder Coordination
- Ensure all schedules are synchronized across concurrent projects to avoid overlaps or gaps.
- Facilitate communication between teams to align priorities and resolve conflicts.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders, including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Engineering Leads, to review schedule progress and identify issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all scheduling-related queries and escalations.
Policy and Training Development
- Assist in developing policies, processes, SOPs, and training materials aligned with federal guidelines (EOs, OMB memoranda, and directives).
- Provide mentoring and training to team members to support professional growth and technical expertise.
Expert-Level Abilities in Scheduling
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, with the ability to manage, customize, and optimize complex schedules.
- Expertise in creating detailed visualizations, such as timelines, dashboards, and resource allocation views.
- Skilled in identifying scheduling risks, resolving conflicts, and maintaining accurate progress tracking.
- Experience integrating schedules across multiple projects and workstreams to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ability to design and deliver tailored reporting solutions for both technical and executive audiences.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Expert-Level Abilities in Scheduling
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, with the ability to manage, customize, and optimize complex schedules.
- Expertise in creating detailed visualizations, such as timelines, dashboards, and resource allocation views.
- Skilled in identifying scheduling risks, resolving conflicts, and maintaining accurate progress tracking.
- Experience integrating schedules across multiple projects and workstreams to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ability to design and deliver tailored reporting solutions for both technical and executive audiences.
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant years of experience may substitute for educational requirements.
Certifications:
At least one of the following certifications is preferred:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Agile/Scrum Master certification
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Security+
- Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) or Certified in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
Clearance:
- Minimum of an active Secret Clearance and Agency suitability.
Work Location:
- Hybrid - This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, primarily requiring onsite presence with some remote work capabilities. This flexibility ensures direct engagement with stakeholders at client and corporate locations, which is crucial for aligning with and understanding project objectives.
