Job Summary/Primary Role: The Graphic and Web Design Specialist will be responsible for creating designs for promotional materials, publications, print and digital graphics, and maintaining webpages and micro sites while upholding the visual brand identity and advancing the message of ABWE. This person will work alongside the Media and Design Manager, coordinating with print vendors, and educating colleagues on brand standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develops creative designs for print materials, including magazines, brochures, mailings, and displays.
- Creates graphics, logos, and visual spreads tailored for web and digital platforms. Collaborates with stakeholders to comprehend project requirements, messaging, and scope.
- Facilitates management of new project intake, assignment, and review processes.
- Ensures adherence to ABWE's brand standards and visual identity guidance.
- Liaises with printers, design volunteers, contractors, and vendors to enforce brand standards and produce high-quality deliverables.
- Contributes to the enhancement of the organizational digital asset management system.
- Design and update web pages as needed, managing website theme, layouts, plugins, and UI/UX.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Qualifications: Ability to pass background check and all necessary clearances as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs and similar desktop design applications.
- Familiarity with WordPress or other web content management systems.
- Working knowledge of quick-turnaround design applications like Adobe Express or Canva.
- Preferred: 2-3 years of experience in an artistic, design, or marketing communications role with a strong graphic design component.
- Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in website design and management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience, required.
