Graphic Designer (Work at Home - Ohio) - Morley

Location: Remote (Ohio residents), occasional business travel

Are you an experienced graphic designer looking to take your creative passion to the next level?

Bring creative vision to life as part of Morley’s award-winning in-house Creative team. We translate business goals into innovative, meaningful and differentiated brand experiences. 

You will be the all-important “last touch” for the creative visual services our team provides for digital, interactive, social and viral deliverables.

You'll execute complex design and communication strategies, lead customer-centric journeys and create dynamic deliverables for print, digital and live events. 

With a commanding understanding of color theory, composition and layout principles, you’ll turn concepts into inspired storytelling, and create performance-driven solutions that resonate, motivate and grow our brand and the brands of our Fortune 500 clients.

What You'll Do

• Create (concept through completion) high-quality, compelling designs for:

  • Web and mobile apps

  • Large-format graphics

  • Interactive documents

  • Proposals and presentations

  • Multimedia pieces

  • Traditional print and other creative / marketing materials

• Thinking strategically, create and execute bespoke design solutions and constantly raise the creative bar

• Understand and serve client business needs, both working independently and in collaboration with the Creative Director, Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Creative Production Coordinators and cross-departmental teams
• Communicate strategy concisely and confidently, design concepts and creative ideas for internal and external partners / clients, and effectively articulate rationale for design decisions

• Contribute to the evolution of our current brand portfolio while assisting in future brand development

• Manage multiple projects at once while meeting all deadlines

• Prioritize work to accommodate tight timelines required by clients in both Eastern and Pacific time zones
• Ensure brand consistency while offering fresh approaches to creative deliverables
• Provide image retouching and manipulation

• Package and prepare files for release to printers

• Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos and other artwork

• Develop motion graphics for use in video and web solutions
• Keep up to date with trends across culture, design, technology, e-commerce, social media, graphic and motion graphic design, photography and video
  • Propose new ideas based on these trends
  • Share insights with the team

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud design apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD)
• Motion graphic and video editing skills using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products 
• Experience in: 
  • Wix Studio Editor X
  • Campaign Monitor or a similar email builder
  • Asana or an equivalent program management software
  • Presentation design using PowerPoint and Keynote
• Excellent visual communication skills
• Demonstrated expertise in graphic design, typography, color theory and layout
• Proven ability to adapt design styles and apply branded style guides with consistency
• Able to execute the design of creative concepts and ensure sound pre-press production
• Strong attention to detail and creative process workflows
• Exceptional typography skills
• A positive, self-starter attitude with a desire to work in a fast-paced, low-ego environment

Eligibility Requirements

• BA in graphic design or related degree / education (Extensive industry expertise and job-related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements)
• Three years of experience in an agency or in-house creative environment
• An inspiring portfolio that demonstrates your passion for great design, stylistic breadth, attention to detail and intuitive usability through thoughtful, beautiful and strategic creative solutions
• Able to travel occasionally for business

• 3D and animation design
