About the Job
We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer for an immediate 2-month contract position, with the possibility of extension and potential for a full-time role. This role has a preference for an on-site, Monday through Friday schedule, but we may consider hybrid work arrangements in certain circumstances. The selected candidate will be responsible for two important projects with deadlines of December 20th and January 15th, respectively, and must be able to meet these critical timelines while delivering high-quality work.
In this role, you will support the design of various digital and print materials, including web pages, research reports, marketing promotions, presentations, conference/workshop materials, and more. The ideal candidate will work closely with the team, taking direction from senior leadership while also collaborating with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop graphic design work that aligns with the overall brand and vision, including web pages, research reports, marketing materials, presentations, proposals, and promotional content.
* Create and maintain design templates for various products, ensuring consistent branding across all materials.
* Design and produce web pages, publication covers, illustrations, charts, graphs, brochures, and other design products as required.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality designs that support the brand's goals and messaging.
* Manage and update social media channels by creating and posting content, responding to engagement, and maintaining brand consistency.
* Assist with other administrative marketing duties as needed.
* Work on two major projects with deadlines of December 20th and January 15th, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of designs.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is required.
* Strong experience with MS PowerPoint and Google Slides.
* Experience in both web and print design, with a strong understanding of design principles and best practices.
* Ability to produce creative and original designs that meet project goals and deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
* Social media management experience (posting, engaging with followers, maintaining brand voice) is a plus.
* Familiarity with HTML and web design concepts is helpful, but not required.
* A portfolio showcasing your design work is required to be considered for the role.
Requirements:
* A degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
* At least 1-2 years of relevant design experience.
* Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday (hybrid work may be considered based on experience and circumstances).
* Availability to start immediately and commit to a 2-month contract, with the potential for an extension or full-time opportunity based on performance.
* A portfolio of your work must be submitted for consideration.
