This position is remote with some travel to Navy sites in Florida and Mississippi.
The Naval Graphic Artist will support a high-profile and challenging project for the U.S.Navy. You will develop graphics and electronic design elements in support of engaging training. You will work under general supervision, reporting to a supervisor or manager.

In this role you will:
- Creating illustrations, infographics, videos, 3D assets and animations, and interactive elements for e-learning and classroom-based training products
- Using computer graphic tools such as those included in the Adobe Cloud Suite to produce online visual media in both 2D and 3D styles for eLearning presentations.
- Create and render 3D models and assets in 3D Studio Max
- Translating storyboard content into the desired media
- Collaborating with Instructional System Designers and other Multimedia Artists
- Working with other team members to determine style, standards, scenes, and focus points on individual aspects to reinforce screen text and to develop or customize branding and other standardized training templates
- Assist with developing and adhering to an established style guide for art assets
- Using project management tools for tasking and workflow
- Attending team meetings
- Conducting quality assurance checks and peer reviews on team members' products
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience OR Master's and 6+ years of experience
- Successful applicants must be U.S. Citizens and should be eligible for an NACI clearance. This position is contingent upon successful completion of drug and background check requirements.
- Proficient in 3D graphics and animation rendering using 3D Studio Max and Blender
- Proficient in the Creative Suite Master Collection (i.e., After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Experience with techniques to digitally photograph items and scenes as required.
- Proficient with video, and audio editing
- Possess proficiency in traditional illustration techniques including but not limited to perspective, composition, and layout
- Possess proficiency in multiple illustration styles and techniques
- Experience with creating and manipulating vector graphics
- Good collaborative and communication skills; relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to eLearning development.
Desired skills:
- Experience designing from storyboards
- Experience with 3D modeling in Maya or similar
- Understanding of Unity and its animation systems
- Demonstrated expertise in video game development with a strong portfolio showcasing original Unity game projects
- Expert understanding of VR, 360, and 3D integration from Unity to Captivate 11.8.3
- Experience in Navy 3D simulation development for eLearning preferred
- Experience with multimedia authoring tool like Articulate Storyline
- Experience working in Agile teams with process management tools like Jira
