POSITION SUMMARY

As a Graphic Design Intern at GY Properties, you will play a crucial role in shaping our visual identity. You will assist in creating brand identities for new constructions and acquisitions, rebranding existing properties and our own company, and designing various marketing materials. You will work closely with our marketing team to produce high-quality visuals that align with our brand’s vision.

This internship is not a paid position and is for Fall semester course credit, with a 20-hour/week requirement. Candidate will report to Philadelphia office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Marketing Collateral: Create visually appealing marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, one-pagers, and other promotional items to support property sales and company branding efforts.
• Branding & Rebranding: Develop and design brand identities for new construction projects, property acquisitions, and existing properties, including logos, color schemes, and typography, ensuring consistency and alignment with current market trends and company values.
• Email Marketing Design: Design engaging email templates and graphics for our marketing campaigns.
• Social Media Templates: Develop templates for social media posts to enhance our online presence and engagement.
• Signage Design: Assist in designing signage for properties, including both digital and print formats.
• Floor Plans & Site Plans: (A huge plus) Create detailed floor plans and site plans to aid in property marketing and client presentations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Current Enrollment: Must be a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Canva is essential.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a big plus.
  • Experience with creating floor plans and site plans is a significant advantage.
• Design Skills: Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to deliver high-quality work with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Excel and basic reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the highest level of integrity.
• Highly motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly.
• Responsive and open to feedback and growth.

HOURS:Part-time opportunity: 20h/week

WORK LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA 19123. Fully in-person role.
