Reports to: Senior Programs Manager
Salary: $70,000 - 90,000 commensurate with skills and experience

About the role: The Grants Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing CAIR-LA's grant lifecycle, from implementing, executing and closing. The Grants Project Manager reports to the Senior Programs Manager and works closely with them to implement CAIR-LA's Grants.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Grant Administration and Compliance:
- Oversee and manage all grant funded projects.
- Ensure all projects adhere to grant guidelines, timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor grant agreements and ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit required documentation, including progress reports, and final evaluations.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement project activities.
- Track project progress and resolve any issues that arise.
Budget Management:
- Support the monitoring of project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with grant requirements.
- Work with the finance department to process reimbursements, invoices, and financial reports.
- Identify and address budget discrepancies or funding gaps in collaboration with the finance department.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the main point of contact for funders, partners, and internal teams.
- Organize regular meetings, presentations, and updates for stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies and community partners.
Data Collection and Reporting:
- Oversee data collection to measure project outcomes and effectiveness.
- Analyze and present project data in required formats for reporting purposes.
- Identify lessons learned and provide recommendations for future projects.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in all project activities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Certificate in Project Management (e.g., PMP) preferred
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience managing grants and/or projects, preferably in education, policy and research.
- Strong knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, grant management software, customer relationship management and accounting systems.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations.
- Familiarity with fiscal management systems and grant databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Collaborative team player with leadership capabilities.
- Two years of managing employees' experience required.
