URBAN TXT: Teens Exploring Technology is a nationally recognized and growing nonprofit organization focused on inspiring young men of color to become confident leaders who use technology as a tool to improve marginalized communities. Position Summary
As the Grants and Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving successful stewardship and expanding URBAN TXT’s grant portfolio. You'll spearhead the research and prioritization of prospective funders and grant opportunities across all donor types, while also managing funder relationships and tracking deliverables to report on impact metrics. Your role will involve creating a comprehensive donor acknowledgment strategy and overseeing donation processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, you'll lead the creation of public-facing fundraising materials that effectively communicate our organization's impact and resonate with our supporters. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain up-to-date content library, including program descriptions and outcomes, to support URBAN TXT leadership and external grant writers in developing compelling and accurate narratives for grant submissions.
- Manages administration for URBAN TXT's grant making process throughout all stages including researching, receiving, assessing, tracking, payment/check requests, documenting all inquiries and/or proposals.
- Ensure that submitted documentation meets all requirements while maintaining accurate and timely records of grant making and programmatic activities.
- Organize, manage and track all aspects of the application process, including timelines.
- Work with Executive Leadership teams to gather information necessary to submit applications in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
- Independently research potential grant prospects and collaborate with external grant writers, and consultants to identify opportunities that align with the mission and vision of URBAN TXT.
- Develop processes to streamline and coordinate efforts with grant writers and others who may also be seeking grant opportunities.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to support the development and implementation of an organization-wide grants strategy.
- Manage grant administration process, including reporting in accordance with funder requirements and grant reporting deadlines and ensuring reporting and contract compliance.
- Exhibit understanding of organizational history and current initiatives.
- Maintain all grant-related records including grant tracking and reporting.
- Maintain a calendar of institutional proposals and reporting cycles and deadlines.
- Initiate and steward relationships with a portfolio of foundations and corporations.
- Thoroughly research and prioritize prospective funders across all donor types
- Support stewardship of funder relationships, tracking all deliverables and driving team to successfully report on impact metrics, proactively organizing and managing-up renewal strategies, and promptly handling special initiatives and special requests from funders
- Create a donor acknowledgment and appreciation strategy for supporters to receive prompt and accurate gift recognition and acknowledgment letters
- Brainstorm and ensure the timely creation of public-facing fundraising collateral that speaks to the organization's growing impact
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or related professional work experience required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
- Strong proof-reading and editing skills, attention to detail.
- Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.
- Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research.
- Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
- Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
