Job Purpose:
Maintains and advances community relations by anticipating and resolving community issues; promoting and enhancing the reputation and services of the medical center.
Duties:
* Determines community relations project requirements by conducting surveys; participating in focus groups; reviewing best practice benchmarks; reviewing information analyses and applications.
* Resolves community issues by collecting relevant information; identifying short-term and long-range issues; identifying and evaluating options; recommending courses of action; making recommendations to the community relations director.
* Promotes the medical center by working with members of the public and specific community groups on projects that enhance the focus, objectives, and image of the medical center.
* Advances staff, patient, and community relations by planning and facilitating special community events; arranging media coverage; evaluating impact.
* Contributes to community medical center publications by providing information, articles, and commentary.
* Maintains quality results by establishing, following, and enforcing standards.
* Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by developing policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations, and JACHO standards; anticipating emerging issues.
* Enhances community relations and medical center reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
