Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator I/II - General Surgery Residency Program - County of Riverside

The Riverside University Health System - Medical Center has a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Coordinator opportunity with the General Surgery Residency Program.   The incumbent will manage the day-to-day administrative operations and workflow of the  General Surgery  Residency Program, as outlined in the ACGME Institutional Common Programs and Specialty Programs Guidelines for Graduate Medical Education, as well as regulations and guidelines set forth by RUHS and the County of Riverside.  Incumbents act as the primary liaison between the GME Office and Residency Program Directors, Chief Resident Physicians, Resident Physicians, program faculty, and affiliated teaching sites.  

Ideal candidates will have:

• Comprehensive understanding of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) policies and procedures, educational programming, leadership skills, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment
• Skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook, and various online programs
• Experience using specialized educational software to record PowerPoint presentations with audio to create training and lecture videos
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills 
• Bachelor's degree with residency program experience; experience with a surgery residency program is preferred

This position has a Monday - Friday, 8-hour day schedule, with the option to telecommute one day per week upon successful completion of training and department approval. Some travel will be required, with occasional weekend and evening work activities required.
