As a Government Audit Senior, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial operations within various government entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of government financial records, systems, and operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with government officials and stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify audit objectives.
- Identify areas of risk and provide actionable recommendations to improve internal controls and operational efficiencies.
- Stay current with changes in governmental accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CIA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in governmental auditing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of governmental accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
