- Spearhead the implementation of strategic public relations plans, both short-term and long-term, to meet organizational goals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and public relations contacts, including organizing media meetings, preparing interview materials, and conducting speaker training.
- Proactively respond to media inquiries, ensure accuracy in media pieces before publication, and identify opportunities for increased brand visibility.
- Stay abreast of industry trends to inform branding and content strategies effectively.
- Utilize various communication tools and metrics to track audience engagement and message efficacy.
- Facilitate seamless communication between internal teams and external partners on project updates and initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align communication efforts across the organization and ensure timely information distribution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in communications, with a track record of developing impactful audience-first strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Proficiency in translating complex scientific or engineering concepts into accessible and engaging narratives.
- Prior experience in a B2B communications or media relations role, preferably within a technical or scientific domain.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate brand messages to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Helpful Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with Meltwater is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media platforms.
- Self-motivated with a conceptual mindset, capable of balancing detailed project management with big-picture strategic thinking.
