Job summary
A Google Cloud IAM (Identity and Access Management) Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the access control and security policies within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
Their primary focus is on ensuring that the right individuals and services have the appropriate level of access to GCP resources while maintaining the security and compliance of the organization.
Should be very strong in Google cloud, IAM, Terraform and etc. with hands-on experience.
The specific job description may vary depending on the organization, but here are some common responsibilities and qualifications for a Google Cloud IAM Architect:
5+ years of experience with IaC Tools such as Terraform, Cloud Build
3+ Years in designing and implementing terraform security modules and best practices
Hands-On coding experience: Python or Java or JavaScript
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, GKE, AKS)
Strong experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Github Actions, JFrog)
Strong in Scripting, such as Bash/PowerShell/Groovy
experience with using Cloud IAM services on either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure.
Experience with information security concepts such as authentication and access control, least privilege.
Experience with Linux/Unix, Windows O/S
Knowledge of any one of IAM solutions such as: PAM, PKI, Directory, AM, IGA, CNAPP, CWPP, CSPM (Will be a plus)
HashiCorp Infrastructure Automation Certification Is a Plus
