Golf Cart Set Up Technician (Mechanic) - Pacific Golf & Turf

We are currently seeking a Golf Cart Set Up Technician at our Portland branch.  This is a full-time position and is an awesome opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who is seeking a career outside of the standard day-to-day automotive industry role.  Individuals interested in everything from small engine repair, electrical diagnosis, accessory installation and design, and equipment assembly can excel in this position.  We are looking for a candidate with a good mechanical aptitude that is ready and willing to learn.  We are a growing company that strives to be the best at taking care of our customers and we’re looking for a qualified and motivated candidate to help us grow and be part of our winning team.  We enjoy coming to work, working hard, having fun, and being an honest, dependable partner for our customers.

JOB DETAILS: 

• Assemble new golf carts for stock/fleet/retail sold and install any requested accessories.
• Cleaning and detailing units prior to sale
• Perform thorough pre-delivery inspections to ensure quality
• Point person for keeping track of the fleet set up process
• Potential to assist with diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of golf carts
• Assist other technicians, as needed
• Write service reports that accurately reflect work performed and parts used
• Maintain all equipment and ensure tools are in good working condition
• Maintain general housekeeping duties in shop and property maintenance
• Work with the Service Manager to ensure consistent workflow
• Help maintain and support safety policies
• Ability to read, write and communicate with co-workers and managers
• Other duties as assigned by management

KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge required
• Golf industry experience, a plus
• Basic set of hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic tools, a plus
• Need to be a team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to clearly follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be in good physical condition; requiring continuous lifting up to 50 pounds routinely during the course of a shift. This position requires heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, twisting and pulling daily
• Current driver's license and reliable means of transportation and must be insurable

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly, Full Time
Compensation: $20 - $23 per hour DOE
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability & Life Insurance available.  A 401(k) Plan is available, with a company match.
Leave: 5 days vacation, 5 days sick, and 8 holidays
Hours: Day shift, M - F
