Job Description
The Launch Excellence Manager will be part of the newly established Endoscopic Solutions Ecosystem (ESE) organization and directly report to the Global Head Ecosystem Launch Office. The Ecosystem Launch Office drives and orchestrates all commercial launch related activities with regards to Olympus’ innovative Intelligent Endoscopic Ecosystem offering globally and regionally. Key activities of this role are to ensure launch related methodologies and policies are applied, risks are identified and managed, critical decision-making is prepared and the global as well as regional teams are guided and coached. To fulfil these responsibilities, methodological and (digital) product knowledge as well as strong interaction with the team leads and members as well as cross functional collaboration is required.
Job Duties
+ Ensure launch related methodologies and guidelines are applied and comply with company policies; modify, combine and / or newly develop where needed
+ Identify launch related dependencies and risks and actively manage their mitigation within and beyond the Ecosystem Launch Office teams
+ Prepare and drive launch related decisions aligning global and regional as well as product/solutions, business and functional views towards successful launches
+ Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders globally and regionally, act as a trusted advisor and safeguard launch success
+ Guide, coach and support cross functional global and regional teams methodologically and act as ‘special force’ in selected task forces
+ Assure end-to-end coherence and consistency in launch execution and quality of contents and deliverables across all launch activities
+ Define launch performance metrics and monitor steadily, provide insights and recommendations, ensure continuous improvement and best practices are applied
+ Work with SVP to define departmental objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate, divisional, and functional goals.
+ Lead project management activities, process optimization, and tool and system development related to ESE and ELO strategy,and ESE transactions, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
+ Manage budgets and forecasts for ELO activities and the department as a whole and provide regular updates to executive team and other stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with finance, legal, compliance, internal controls, and other departments to ensure all ELO activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for the secretariats of the BoD, GEC, TSD and ESD, , and other key executive support teams.
+ Facilitate, plan, and manage meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, ELO team, and the ESE.
+ Create and deploy tools and template origination, and documentation for ELO and its stakeholder groups, including LMS modules, written SOPs, OGR development, etc.
+ Build awareness across the Olympus organization of the function of the Ecosystem, and how the function contributes to corporate strategy today and in the future.
+ Oversee ELO operations, including Budget Supervision including accruals, cross charges, and tracking of spend.
+ Develop and track KPIs for evaluating successful outcomes. .
+ Provide ongoing leadership support to ESE and Ecosystem leadership as requested.
Job Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business. A Master’s degree in life sciences or business is a plus.
+ Minimum of 8-10 years professional experience, ideally in MedTech.
+ Experience in product & project mgmt., commercial activities and transformation
+ Proven track record of managing cross functional projects following agile approaches
+ Deep knowledge of the MedTech market incl. knowledge in device regulations that govern commercial activity
+ Candidate should be willing to travel (20-30% expected)
+ Candidate will be a part of a global team; no direct leadership/direct reports, however, coaching / guiding / supporting leads of launch office teams is critical
Preferred:
+ Excellent understanding of the typical roles and responsibilities in the (digital) product and commercial functions and their key interdependencies with other functions
+ Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills including interactions with senior management and internal & external customers at all levels
+ High ability to guide teams and decision makers in bridging organizational complexity
+ Strong analytical skillset and high level of business acumen
