Title: Global and Regional DOORS Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking a Systems Engineer with a deep understanding of systems engineering processes and principles. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience applying these principles effectively in product development, be adept at breaking down complex requirements into manageable system/subsystem levels, and have a history of creating key system engineering documents such as interface control documents and sequence diagrams.
Responsibilities:
- Must possess a solid understanding of the systems engineering process and principles.
- Should demonstrate a track record in successfully applying systems engineering principles to devise product solutions.
- Required experience includes decomposing requirements from higher-level mandates to detailed system/subsystem requirements.
- Must have experience in creating systems engineering documentation, such as Interface Control Documents, Use Cases Briefings, Sequence Diagrams, and more.
- Should have experience collaborating in an integrated team setting with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to devise solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to effectively convey technical approaches and findings.
- Candidates should be capable of writing and executing engineering plans within a project framework.
Job Duties:
- Flexibility in Task Management: Able to adapt and support various tasks on short notice as required.
- Development and Review Responsibilities: Support in the development and review of interface documents, system/subsystem requirements, and Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM). Author and perform both formal and informal engineering reviews.
- Support and Training: Provide briefing development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills within the department.
- Collaborative Work Environment: Work under the direction of the Systems Engineering Lead and various product owners. Interface with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure delivery of high-quality products on time and within allocated resources.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow DOORS processes and procedures rigorously. Review technical product details and content.
- Technical Interface Role: Act as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts as required.
- Agile Development Involvement: Participate in Agile development efforts, including iteration planning, statusing, and agile team leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Proven contributions to implementation projects, including the capability to analyze high-level needs and develop a structured, logical approach that refines these capabilities into a cohesive set of requirements that ultimately result in a deployed product.
- Demonstrated proficiency in effective communication, with the ability to clearly present technical approaches and findings. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in drafting and executing engineering plans within the scope of a project.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in an Agile development environment is preferred.
- Domain expertise in both Space and Missile Defense is highly advantageous.
