About this opportunity
The Global Professional Marketing Director will be responsible for supporting and coordinating Align’s global professional marketing strategy, working closely to support the VP Global Product Management and Professional Marketing. This will include coordinating global marketing objectives and channel strategies leading customer profiling and segmentation, defining customer adoption and retention strategies, developing channel messaging strategies and implementation, and increasing trust and relevancy through marketing initiatives and campaigns. They will also be responsible for establishing and implementing professional marketing fundamentals across the organization, including adoption of marketing technologies, building discipline in data analytics, and capability building within the function. This person will need to work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders, including those in regional and local marketing, clinical education, product management, finance and R&D to ensure that programs and initiatives drive customer adoption and product utilization.
The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate excellent strategic thinking, strong technical mastery, expertise in orchestrating product and digital journeys for customers, and ability to work closely with global product and regional commercial teams. This role will report to the VP Global Product and Professional marketing and partner closely with key commercial leaders across functions and geographies.
In this role, you will…
- Engage with product managers and commercial leaders to set the professional channel strategy
- Support the definition customer profiling and segmentation approach and coordinate best-practice sharing and implementation through the regional teams
- Working with the VP Global Product Management and Professional Marketing, develop clear, consistent and compelling channel messaging that sits within an overall Align professional marketing schedule
- Assess customer acquisition and retention strategies, making recommendations and supporting implementation to increase adoption and utilization
- Leverage data and insights to explore opportunities to improve professional marketing deliverables and tactics
- Be the primary person responsible to coordinate efforts to establish degree of in-source/out-source on product marketing assets and coordinate with agencies where applicable as the primary point of contact
- Establish sound working relationships between global professional, regional and consumer marketing to ensure a coherent and consistent approach to brand
- Lead the development of commercial roadmap planning and act as key point of contact to establish clear commercial deliverables to support company and regional product and commercial objectives
- Work with regional leaders to establish and lead best-practice and coordination/consistency of key commercial programs including new doctor onboarding and segment-specific growth programs
- Develop and implement competency/capability building within the professional marketing team and associated development roadmap
- Define and implement a range of professional marketing fundamentals including adoption of key technologies, discipline in the use of data and analytics, and professional marketing capability building
In this role, you’ll need …
- Proven track record with more than 10 years in a progressive product and professional marketing career.
- Strong understanding of Align product and marketing capabilities and systems preferred
- Proven track record of developing strong cross-functional relationships with key leaders in global cross-functional and regional functions
- Strategic, data-based and analytical thinking
- Excellent overall product marketing and digital mastery
- Solid project management, business acumen and organizational skills.
- Strong influencing, collaborative and communication skills,
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Highly accountable and results oriented
- Agile and able to change course quickly
Required Education & Experience...
- BA degree essential, Masters or other post-grad preferable
- Equivalent experience within med-tech commercial, product or marketing roles essential
- Demonstrating an aptitude for professional (downstream/commercial) marketing
