Role Overview:
The Global Product Manager (GPM) of Biologics & Advanced Therapeutics is responsible for the product portfolio, product planning and execution all through the lifecycle of the business. This is inclusive of working with, supporting and guiding regional stakeholders and prioritizing the requirements for the products, working with regional marketing and the director of product management in defining the vision for the product portfolio, and collaborating with other stakeholders from R&D, marketing, sales, finance, and operations departments to ensure that the financial and consumer satisfaction goals are met.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Product Portfolio: The GPM is responsible for developing and cultivating the product’s vision, business case, as well as compiling the product planning material necessary for driving product initiatives further with clarity and consensus. In addition, the GPM will oversee all product care and OEM initiatives for the respective portfolio to support customer/end user agreements and execute successful product lifecycle management.
- Collaboration: The role of GPM is also one of a cross-functional nature and as such, is expected to liaise with global product marketing, regional marketing, R&D project management, and stakeholders in operations and finance. Collaboration leads to clear and efficient product road mapping, product planning, prioritization, and an overall agile product development process.
- Product Proposals: the GPM will generate numerous new product proposals and product business cases and review them with the marketing directors prior to submission to the director of global product management.
- Research and Analyses: The GPM is also tasked with conducting relevant product research, to generate and establish competitive product intelligence within various market landscapes including those that supplement and complement analyses already conducted.
- Customers Relations: The GPM is responsible for engaging with customers (both internal and external) to gain firsthand insight into the market landscape and translates this feedback into product portfolio to establish a clearer understanding of the current and future market potential.
- Product Portfolio & Strategy: the GPM is responsible for optimizing product portfolio performance and quality by driving product lifecycle management activities under the advisory role of the director of product management to help drive improved sales, market share expansion, and profitability in alignment with global marketing and corporate strategy.

Education:
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or equivalent in related health field in biological sciences.
- Experience in product management, product marketing, applications or an equivalent in work experience.
- Experience with marketing analyses, analytics, and price modeling.
- Results oriented with strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- A proven track record in product planning, defining and launching successful products, unifying product portfolios, and working with different product lines.
- Experience in thought leadership to drive consensus and inspire diverse commercial stakeholders.
- Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a global work environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership abilities and cross-functional experience.
- Any experience in financial services or deeper knowledge of finance will be a plus
- Full proficiency in English with excellent oral and written communication
- Previous experience as an applications chemist or a background in Biotechnology or other life sciences will be a plus.
Travel Required:
Travel will vary as needed. Minimum 30% international travel required.
