Responsibilities & Qualifications:Position Overview:
Novelis in Atlanta, GA has an opportunity to participate in our summer 2025 internship program. The Global Casthouse, Chemical, Coatings (CCC) Procurement team is seeking a Global Procurement Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The Global Procurement Intern will provide functional support to the Global CCC procurement team in various areas such as data management, various benchmarking analysis (cost and usage), development and execution of strategic actions to optimize cost, development of relevant IT tools to assist the different categories and roll-out. The intern is responsible to assist the CCC team in getting better quality of spend data to allow accurate spend analysis. The intern will closely work with CCC Analyst and Procurement Excellence to achieve these goals. The intern will also be involved in various benchmarking activities to compare cost and usage for our key spend products. These activities will be correlated to the “Control Spend Tower” project and are aimed at delivering substantial sustainable savings for the next 2 years to achieve procurement goals. Ultimately this will translate into actions and projects to be then executed. The intern will also assist with the use of latest sourcing technologies and make sure the team is making the best use of available technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the sourcing managers to improve the accuracy of spend data.
- Support the sourcing managers in various benchmarking activities.
- Help the sourcing managers with the “Control Spend Tower” project.
- Develop and track actions deriving from the “Control Spend Tower” & benchmarking activities.
- Assist with the use of eSourcing tools. Recommend & develop new tools for the team.
- Assist the team on various topics when needed.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor or master’s degree in business management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, IT.
- Interest or experience in Strategy Development, Procurement, Data Management, Sourcing Technologies
- Process oriented, analytical/data driven, excellent presentation / communication skills
- Be able to operate in a global Procurement organization with high complexity of languages and cultural differences, to drive standardization and harmonization of global standards and best practices
- Multi-lingual is a plus
