Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Global Marketing Manager – Oral Care to join our team. This position will be based at our Bridgewater, NJ location for in-office hours. This is a very visible, significant role within Ashland and the personal care business. This position will report to the Senior Director Global Marketing Personal Care Core.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Elaborate & lead the strategy development and execution for the Oral Care segment
- Focus on strategic planning for commercial success, and value proposition delivery.
- Drive the development of Marketing tools & documentation for and in collaboration with Marcom and Regional Marketing:
- Drive development, positioning, and launch of new products or new products applications globally by bridging innovation with market demand & aspiration
- Lead marketing of Innova launches
- Set price positioning with regional marketing input for new and existing products
- Drive global market share growth of core products and product lines globally, at key accounts, and in each region by partnering with key stakeholders in each respective area
- Track and maximize sustainable and profitable expansion of existing products and their lifecycle stages (including portfolio management)
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- MBA is required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years experience working in a strategic marketing role and ability to demonstrate financial acumen, business planning, strategic frameworks, etc.
- Relevant knowledge of excipients, ingredients, and related materials
- Ability & desire to function at both strategic and tactical levels
- Strong influencing capabilities, leadership accountability, and process discipline and rigor
- Experience in influencing and indirectly managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively and globally in a cross-cultural environment.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy development and execution, market and trend research, customer segmentation, communication channel mix
- Excellent communication skills, talent for building strong networks within Ashland but also with potential customers and external partners
- Strategic & analytical thinking skills, pleasant and engaging style, and executive presence
- Ability to travel up to 20 - 40%
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
- Experience working in the personal care industry/markets
- Background in chemistry and/or biology appreciated
