About the Job
The newly created position of Global Director, Audience Growth and Community is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive attendee and community strategy and executing this plan for Advertising Week events worldwide.
This role will play a key part in the evolution of Advertising Week as the go-to platform for thought leadership, networking and business development.
The Head of Audience Growth and community will manage the curation of targeted audiences, including identifying and targeting key industry players and influencers to participate in Advertising Week curated events and meetings.
The position will focus on both our AW Flagship events as well as building and monetizing year-round communities including, but not limited to:

The newly created position of Global Director, Audience Growth and Community will work closely with the Advertising Week CEO and Global President, along with the Marketing Director, to support the development of Advertising Week and our suite of event and content products globally.
This position will report to the New York offices in a Hybrid capacity.
What We’re Looking For
Commercially minded event and community organizer who can focus and build out targeted, curated audiences at our flagship events. This requires an entrepreneurial person who can work independently and build out teams across the entire AW business to develop these new initiatives.
- Oversee global audience growth for AW Flagship Events and year-round content initiatives
- Expand year-round meetings program for AW at our flagship events
- Create and execute global process to curate audiences for AW networking events, individual seminars, roundtables and more
- Analyze attendee data and feedback to identify trends and opportunities
- Identify new business opportunities built around audiences at Global AW Events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, production, marketing, and sales, to create innovative, integrated attendee experiences.
- Identify and target key industry players and influencers to participate in Advertising Week events and work with the sales and marketing teams to create custom packages and experiences
- 6+ years in event management, marketing and operations
- Confident in approaching and developing relationships with potential partners/sponsors and creating branded content & programs
- Experience with meetings businesses within events or matchmaking at senior levels
- Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for building and maintaining networks of contacts in multiple markets – this role requires the ability to build relationships with C-suite executives
- Skilled at working with internal and external stakeholders - strong communication skills, collaborative working style
- Entrepreneurial self-starter/ motivator
- Project or account management experience essential; business development experience preferable
- A ‘little black book’ of senior contacts within the marketing and media industry is desired but not essential
This is a senior leadership position that requires an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented professional who can lead the development and execution of an attendee experience strategy that drives engagement, satisfaction, and retention for Advertising Week events worldwide.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Target Compensation: $110,000-120,000 (Bonus Eligible)
Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
