About the Job
The Global Communications intern would be responsible for supporting Global Communications initiatives related to internal communications, external communications and media relations, CEO communications, corporate branding, and marquee events
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Project management on active media, CEO communications, and internal communications projects
- Copywriting/drafting content for internal and external use
- Media monitoring and flagging
- Taking notes at GCC meetings, R&D, Medical Affairs and other cross-functional meetings
- Meeting organization and other admin-related tasks (booking rooms, ordering food, etc)
- Transcribing or synthesizing (for example, audio recordings of executives speaking)
- Photo and general folder organizing (uploading and creating folders and sorting through photos from events like Town Hall, etc)
- Logistics help for internal events: Town Hall, CEO video shoots, CEO breakfasts, etc.
- Ownership of one project we define when the candidate enters and will manage during the time of the internship with multiple status/deadlines/presentations for the team
Minimum Qualifications
- Industry knowledge (experience in industry or similar field preferred)
- Previous internship experience in Communications, PR
- Junior or Senior at full-time college/university
- Availability to come to the office twice per week (preferably Tuesday & Thursday) and work for more than one period (Spring + Summer)
- Experience drafting communications materials for internal, external, or executive content
Education
- Required:
- Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing)
- Preferred:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing)
