About the Role:The Global Accounts Payable Specialist I is an integral part of Latham’s Accounts Payable team and will be responsible for performing basic accounting and accounts payable duties, which require familiarity with accounting practices and procedures, and knowledge of a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications, while reviewing accounts payable invoices entered into the firm accounting system for accuracy and adherence to established firm policies and procedures. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing month-end disbursement estimates to be used for Partner Draw
- Tracing transactions through previous accounting/billing actions to determine the source of discrepancies
- Examining accounting documents for completeness and mathematical accuracy and making appropriate adjustments
- Contacting individuals outside the immediate work area to obtain, verify, or provide information concerning accounting documents
- Assisting with special projects when necessary
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

- Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
- Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
- Demonstrate knowledge of bookkeeping procedures such as posting, balancing, debits and credits, and journal entries
And have:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent in accounting or related field, preferably
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounts payable experience

Pay Range:USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
