PROJECT SALES ESTIMATOR
Job Responsibilities:
Develop a trusting relationship with general contractors, glazing contractors, architects and/or owners.
Review design requirements and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality and/or availability of materials to clients.
Verify product specifications with project architects/designers and communicate with general contractors, glazing contractors, architects and/or owners on design and product recommendations.
Independently provide sales estimates to clients utilizing the quoting process and quoting tools available.
Negotiate sales pricing with clients to achieve revenue and profitability targets set by management.
Initiate project bid sales process by reaching out to architects, general contractors and/or glazing contractors and providing competitive quotes.
Prepare and submit for Request for Approvals (RFA’s or RFQ’s) to get products specified and/or approved for substitution.
Support Manufacturers Sales Representatives with project leads, quotes, training and technical support to help them drive sales in their particular territories.
Manages, follows up and tracks any sales project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders and changes order documents before submitting order to engineering team.
Record and track all sales project quotes, bids, sales, and construction schedules.
Attend weekly/monthly sales project update meetings with outside/inside sales team.
Implement Sales Department operating practices.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
Assist with planning long-term and short-term business objectives.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of verifiable project estimating experience in a fast-paced sales and manufacturing environment, construction, or other closely related field – direct experience managing storefronts, window and curtain walls, and panels is a plus.
Experience working with commercial architects, general contractors and/or glazing installers.
Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural and structural drawings, blueprints and specifications.
Knowledge of building codes and glass installation industry – bullet resistant, blast and storm impact glazing experience is a plus.
Organized self-starter with the ability to handle multiple sales projects, prioritize workload and work with minimal supervision.
Experience with a CRM, CMD, Dodge, IsqFt or other project lead and quoting platforms helpful.
Mechanical aptitude required to understand and sell our product.
Excellent and professional communication skills – email and phone manner.
Strong interpersonal skills with time management, ability to work under pressure and problem solve.
Associate degree or equivalent experience.
