Our client is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support month-end financial processes and maintain accurate accounting records across the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure financial integrity and provide critical reporting support for our group entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end and year-end financial close processes in compliance with US GAAP, Canadian GAAP, and IFRS
• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Record bi-weekly payroll and associated accrual entries
• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per Group reporting requirements
• Support external audit and tax return preparation
• Assist with HST/GST, Sales & Use Tax, and Fuel Tax filings
• Perform additional accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years accounting experience in manufacturing, preferably biofuel or oil & gas industry
• Bachelor's in accounting
• Comprehensive understanding of:
  • General ledger accounting in production environments
  • Production cost accounting
  • Inventory management
  • Cost of Goods Sold
  • Asset capitalization
  • Revenue recognition
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• ERP systems experience, particularly Microsoft GP
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication abilities
