Giving Manager - Northview Church

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Giving Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of Northview’s contributions. This includes ensuring that all donations are entered into the church business and financial systems accurately which includes posting various contribution related journal entries into the general ledger. This position is an exempt full-time position and reports to the Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Daily Duties:
- Give ministry away
- Manage all aspects of online giving: internet, text-to-give, kiosks, etc
- Primary contact for all Northview giving related programs
- Primary contact for fielding contribution questions from donors
- Check email and voicemail and return all phone calls within 24 hours
Weekly Duties:
- Coordinate secure third-party cash handling processes between campuses and bank
- Responsible for verifying the accuracy of weekend offerings for all campuses
- Responsible for overseeing and verifying the check scanning deposit systems to the bank
- Prepare weekly cash deposits from campus offerings as necessary
- Prepare the daily deposits from Capstone. (Binford and Carmel campuses)
- Prepare weekly deposits from North Beach Cafe
- Responsible for recording and assisting with the reconciliation of all bank deposits to the GL with other Finance team members
- Ensure all weekly contribution amounts are accurately recorded for reporting purposes
Monthly Duties:
- Coordinate any monthly contribution reporting and document correctly into systems
- Manage contribution records for campaigns, and other alternative income sources
- Manage all Outreach donations, trip specific designations and ancillary systems
- Maintain contribution data control and accuracy within church business and financial systems
- Coordinate and reconcile contributions between church management and the GL
- Monitor online giving fee structures and record related fees to the GL
- Maintain an expert knowledge level of the church business database system as it relates to contributions
- Maximize and improve church contribution reporting capabilities
- Manage secure storage of all onsite and offsite contribution records
- Primary focal point for all safe management including ordering, maintenance, and collection of contributions from Northview safes
- Prepare monthly A/R invoices as required and post applicable entries into the GL
Annual Duties:
- Coordinate any annual contribution and attendance reporting
- Contributions focal point for the annual audit
As Needed Duties:
- Order Finance dept specific office supplies, checks, equipment, etc.
- Maintain online event registrations
- Perform related duties as assigned by Controller
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise Giving Specialist
- Approve timesheets, Tallie expense reporting, and vacation planning for contributions specialist

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree and two to five years of related experience. Related experience would include database management, detailed bookkeeping, and some entry level accounting experience.
