Job Responsibilities
- Assists project team with documenting business processes and workflows, business rules, and functional requirements.
- Assists with application architecture and database design.
- Implements and supports n-tier architectures and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA).
- Develops and tests desktop, mobile, server, and cloud based GIS applications.
- Documents software source code.
- Manages and documents software changes in a versioned environment.
- Creates unit test plans and performs unit and integration testing.
- Prepares technical "as-built system documentation.

- Completes multiple concurrent assignments and reports project status to team leader.
- Works well individually and in a development team where frequent communication and coordination are essential.
- Is able to complete projects within assigned budget and schedule deadlines.
- Constantly researches and applies best practices for software design patterns.
- Constantly researches and prototypes new technologies for existing or planned solutions.
Minimum Experience, Skill Set, and Employment Requirements to Qualify:
- A current resident of the United States and either a US citizen or Green Card holder.
- Ability to successfully pass a security background check.
- BS or MS degree in computer science or information technology, with a minor in GIS
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible software programming experience.
- At least 2 years of web development using Visual Studio, Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, and/or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services with the .NET Framework.
- At least 2 years of web development with the ESRI ArcGIS for Server JavaScript API, and ArcGIS REST API.
- Strong object-oriented analysis, design and programming skills.
- Experience involving all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Effective technical writing and documentation skills.
- Verbal command of the English language sufficient to interview non-technical individuals to assess business needs and process workflows.

- Experience and depth of knowledge of the ArcGIS REST architecture.
- Programming ArcObject/.NET Add-in tools for ArcGIS for Desktop.
- Programming native Android or Apple iOS mobile apps with Esri's SDKs
