Responsibilities:- Collect, organize, and maintain geospatial data.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of GIS databases, incorporating updates as necessary.
- Produce high-quality maps and visualizations to support project planningand execution.
- Create interactive web maps for field use by construction and environmental teams during construction.
- Conduct spatial analysis to identify potential project challenges and opportunities.
- Coordinate and conduct field data collection activities to gather accurate and up-to-date geographic information.
- Use GPS and other data collection tools to capture field data for integration into GIS databases.
- Collaborate with construction managers, environmental team, and other stakeholders to provide GIS support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and collect pre- and post-construction drone footage of construction projects, mostly of long linear corridors for transmission line projects.
- Ensure that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS, Survey 123, FieldMaps, etc.) and other geospatial tools.
- Must have an eye for high-quality cartography.
- Familiarity with GPS technology and field data collection.
- Entry-level experience and understanding of drone technology, aerial imagery, photography, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proactive problem-solving skills.

- Ability to perform work duties independently.
- Must be self-disciplined, motivated, and meet concurrent project deadlines.

- Must be comfortable with remote and off-road travel.
Preferred Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in GIS, preferably in the construction or energy sector.
- 1 year of experience in drone operations.
- Interest in environmental planning, permitting, construction compliance, or energy infrastructure.
- Experience in the transmission line industry or environmental sector is a plus.
- Experience with SharePoint, Adobe Suite software, and graphics are a plus.
*Pay Range: $30,000 - $75,000
