As a GIS Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your learned and academic knowledge, analytical capabilities, and GIS proficiency to develop solar (PV) and solar + storage projects. The GIS Analyst will touch all aspects of project development, with a focus on the early-stage siting and request for proposal (RFP) response process. The role presents an opportunity to participate in site design, land acquisition, interconnection, and permitting with a fast-paced team where a can-do attitude and innovation thrives.
Under the supervision of the Manager, Planning, in this role, you’ll:
- Manage all geographic data for planning and execution of company projects, including:
- Serving as the company’s GIS liaison
- Collaborating with the Development Team to identify, maintain, and organize a database of potential project sites
- Ensuring the company remains compliant with GIS industry standards
- Increasing team output by training and educating staff to use GIS tools
- Supporting requests for maps and geographic data throughout a project’s lifecycle
- Contribute to the Development Team’s Request-For-Proposal (RFPs) response efforts, including drafting, assembling, and submitting final proposals.
- Learn about, and participate in, broader Development Team initiatives including site design, cost estimating, grid integration, and land acquisition.
- Support the Development Team with idea generation, analysis, and advice on origination and execution of new projects.
- Work toward GISP certification.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Passion about renewable energy projects
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Geography, Environmental Studies, Planning, or Engineering
- 1 – 3 years of professional experience
- Proficiency with ArcGIS/QGIS, Google Earth, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated efficiency in managing multi-disciplinary tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and to take initiative and organize work in an independent manner
- A roll-up-your sleeves team player
- Willingness to work flexible and long hours
- Desire to grow professionally

Annual Base Salary Range:
$65,000 - $75,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on certain company and individual performance metrics.
