REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Gift Planning
TERM: Summer 2024 (with option to continue)
HOURS: 10-20 hours per week (In-Office)

The Gift Planning Intern will be involved in projects including data review and entry, scanning and uploading files, auditing and recording data from existing files, and creating emails.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Digitize existing gift planning donor files and estate files.
- Audit files of important planned givers to determine the level of documentation we have for their gift commitments.
- Review and compile past estate gifts and log each deceased donor’s Lyric engagement (ticket purchases; donations; board participation; etc).
- Update estates that are not built using the current protocol and work on estate management and outreach.
- Build and deploy emails to gift planning prospects, as well as to existing planned givers for stewardship and donation purposes.
- Compile list of existing planned givers who have been unresponsive to direct stewardship outreach. Confirm contact information is correct.
- Additional projects as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree.
- Must have excellent verbal, written, and personal communication skills.
- Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic with sensitivity to confidential information and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Intern’s projects require prioritizing and efficiently managing multiple tasks.
- Candidates will have proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Google Suite products.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Occasional work on nights and weekends.
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard mouse and to handle other office equipment. Ability to occasionally oversee evening or weekend functions, deployments, or performances.
- Fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- Preferred weekly In-Office schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
COMPENSATION:
Job Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Intern
Hourly Rate: $15.80 + Weekly $30 Travel Stipend
