GI Tech Part Time - United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI)

Endoscopy Center of Lake County is looking to add a Part Time GI Tech who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center!

As a GI Tech at Endoscopy Center of Lake County, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease. You will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care by providing consultations and services in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment.

While we work collaboratively as a group, each patient is assigned a dedicated gastroenterologist, ensuring personalized care and attention.

GI Tech at Endoscopy Center of Lake County:

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Prepares equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI procedures. Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment. Oversees the GI procedures and maintains all aspects of the GI procedure area. Assessing patients prior to procedure. Document intra-procedure notes. Assist physician on all GI procedures. Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area. Cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·High school graduate or equivalent

·Medical assistant certification

·One to three years previous experience in GI Lab or Pain Managementrequired

·Current BLS required

·ACLS preferred

·Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI

·Strong Customer Service Skills

·Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly

·Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment

·Must be able to function as a team player

·Possess the abilityto lift 25 pounds

·Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal
