We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to serve as the clinical lead for our GI patients. As a core member of the clinical team, you will have access to ongoing training and support from a GI focused team (RD, Physicians, Health Coaches, etc.) to help you develop an expertise with digestive health conditions (IBD, IBS, GERD, SIBO, etc).
What you’ll do
The Licensed Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with the supervising gastroenterologist , is responsible for providing gastrointestinal care (IBS, IBD, GERD, etc) to adults via a tele-medicine platform. The CRNP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team. This is a fully remote role.
- Care Delivery: Establish and maintain strong patient relationships, providing routine and urgent gastrointestinal care. Utilize your expertise to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for various GI conditions, with a focus on GERD, IBS, and IBD via telemedicine platforms, such as video visits and chat messaging. Adhere to clinical protocols, including ROME IV criteria and AGA guidelines, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based care.
- Integrated Care Management: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to implement treatment plans and ensure coordinated care for patients. Work closely with physicians, health coaches, and dietitians to foster a collaborative approach providing comprehensive care and support to patients.
- Prioritize Patient Care: Allocate approximately 75% of your time, approximately 32 hours per week, to patient care activities. Maintain availability on weekends (minimum 6 hours per month) and evenings (minimum 12 hours per month) to accommodate patient needs and provide timely care.
- Growth & Professional Development: Demonstrate a willingness to pursue cross-licensure opportunities and continuously maintain good standing with all relevant licenses and certifications. Actively engage in professional training and development activities to expand your knowledge base and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of gastrointestinal care.
Who You Are
- Current licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Masters Degree, Post Masters’ Certificate, or Doctorate in Nursing
- Current certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency as an Adult, or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience performing consultative services in the specialty practice of gastroenterology in an outpatient setting.
- Ability to work alongside and communicate effectively with other care providers (e.g., Physician, Psychologist, Health Coach, Registered Dietitian)
- Comfortable with or willing to learn common administrative technologies (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Office, or equivalent), charting electronically, experience with telehealth platforms preferred
